Lodge Charleston of Aboyne No. 281 meets in the Masonic Temple, Charlestown Road, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire.

Freemasons assemble on the 2nd Wednesday from September to April at 7.30pm  (next meeting)

Visitors are most welcome..........need directions?  

The Freemasons Lodge in Aboyne received its Charter from The Grand Lodge of Scotland on the 30th November 1819. 

The fraternity of Freemasonry uses the allegorical metaphors of operative stonemasons' tools and implements against the backdrop of the building of the Temple of King Solomon, to convey what is most generally defined as:-  A peculiar system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols

George Samson entered our Lodge on the 17th March 1916, passed on 5th July 1916 and was raised on the 19th July 1916.

George won the VC on 25/26th April 1915 during the V Beach landings at Cape Helles, Gallipoli. 

We are very proud to include him in our history.

George's medals were sold at action on 13th December 2007 for £247,000
